Health Policy

This course is designed to provide an introductory overview of: (1) how health care is financed, organized, and delivered both in the U.S. and in other countries; (2) public health, health administration, health services, and bioethics; and (3) major health policies from health insurance to health disparities, Medicare & Medicaid, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, hospitals, mental health, reproductive health, global health, obesity, nutrition, pharmaceuticals, aging, dying and more. No particular disciplinary background is assumed, nor is any special familiarity with the field of health care required
